DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN AUCKLAND

Set off through the city centre, along the main road of Queen Street, past iconic Karangahape Road and the stylish suburb of Ponsonby. Cross over the Auckland Harbour Bridge, enjoying views of the Hauraki Gulf and city skyline. Visit the Viaduct Harbour, home to America’s Cup racing for many years, and the historic buildings around the University of Auckland, before continuing to the Auckland Domain.Developed around an extinct volcano, the Domain features 75 hectares of open spaces, tropical gardens, duck ponds and public art, and is home to the Auckland War Memorial Museum. Stop for a short afternoon tea break (at your own expense) at historic Parnell Village. Next, travel the stunning waterfront route of Tamaki Drive to Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park. Named after one of New Zealand’s greatest and most popular Prime Ministers, the park, with its formal gardens and tranquil atmosphere, offers a panoramic outlook over the picturesque Eastern Bays, Auckland city and the Waitemata Harbour. Your tour of Auckland finishes downtown after a drive back along the waterfront.

Hop on and off the iconic Christchurch Tram to explore the city centre with an all-day pass and live commentary. There are 18 stops at key inner city highlights including the Botanic Gardens, Riverside Market and New Regent Street, making the restored heritage tramcars a great way to see Christchurch. Relax and admire the scenery of the beautiful Christchurch Botanic Gardens from the Avon River on the iconic punting tours while getting up close to nature.

Fertile farmland of the Canterbury Plains - the shores of the stunning, glacier-fed Lake Tekapo with Church of the Good Shepherd and take in the sights of the spectacular Southern Alps. Continue to the location of New Zealand’s tallest mountain, Aoraki / Mount Cook, situated in a national park and UNESCO World Heritage site. The tour continues south, past Lake Pukaki and through the tawny tussock of the Mackenzie Country.

Transfer back to the pier and taxi pick up and transfer to SKYLINE Queenstown, go by Gondola Cable Cab to Bob’peak to see all views of Queenstown city and enjoy the buffet dinner.
